My name is Lee Potgieter and I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals..

After years of suffering with weight issues, eczema, sinus, depression and mood swings I have learnt that it is easy to be healthy by making healthier choices with regards to your food and lifestyle. It has taken me on a journey of 6 years of finding out what works for me – I follow a 98% raw, vegan or plant-based diet, low in fat.

By changing my diet I have :

  • Increased my energy levels
  • Lost weight (and kept it off!) – I lost 22kg in total and in the first six months I lost 16kgs
  • Healed my eczema
  • My eye sight has improved – I was diagnosed with Glaucoma in 2007 – since following this way of eating my intraocular pressure is down to 15/16mm Hg (normal is between 12-22mm Hg) – mine was 25 /26mm Hg
  • Sex drive increased
  • Mood swings vanished
  • No more depression
  • My skin is clear
  • No more sinus / coughing / throat clearing in the morning
  • By incorporating yoga as well my stamina and muscle tone has improved
  • No constipation (or any other tummy bugs or issues)
  • General outlook on life is more positive
  • Increased spiritual awareness – prayer & meditation are an integral part of my daily routine
  • I really taste my food and my sense of smell is increased I have not experienced any illness since following this way of eating and if I do have my normal fever blister breakout, the healing time is quicker and it is generally due to lack of sleep, physical exertion or stress or too many almonds or raisins.

I have studied all the major dietary theories and use practical lifestyle coaching methods to guide you in discovering which approach works best for you.

Most approaches to nutrition dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions and good and bad foods, I coach my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial and discipline.

No one diet works for everyone. I will guide you to find the food and lifestyle choices that best support you. I will also help you to make gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals.

As your Health Coach, I will listen carefully and help you to navigate the world of contradictory nutrition advice to determine what changes are necessary for you.

Your personalized program will radically improve your health and happiness. Together, we will explore concerns specific to you and your body and discover the tools you need for a lifetime of balance.
